The Path No One Has Traveled...

When you’re doing everything you can to live out a dream and follow a path that isn’t yours and was never meant to be, the incongruence within your soul will eat you alive.

Why do you think currently 91% of young adults deal with anxiety today?

Why do we feel the need to numb our lives on the weekends with parties, alcohol, drugs, binge watching, scrolling…

Well, is the life we’re living now truly genuine to who we are and want to be? And instead of doing the deep work of figuring that out, many would rather subscribe to the drifting, numbing life above, pretending that life is great, when deep down our soul can feel the incongruence.

Are we creating our own path or trying to follow the path that others have already predestined for us…what our parents did or think we should do…what our close friends say…what our teachers or professors told us we’re good at so by default we should just do that…

Be diligent, take the time to examine what you truly want out of your life, not define your goals and dreams solely on what everyone else says you should have by a certain age, who you should be by a certain age, and CERTAINLY NOT how financially successful you should or shouldn’t be by a certain age. Let go of it all. Pave your own path.

Because if you don’t, the opportunity cost lost of pursuing the wrong thing and the wrong dreams will produce a regret and pain so strong that it might shatter your spirit and take months or years to recover…

I know firsthand because I spent a decade of my life pursuing a business I never wanted to do, all because I followed a few people who told me at 19 what my dream should be, instead of deeply thinking and pursuing what was true to me. It took me the last three years in my late 20s of deep deep work, psychologists, counselors, spiritual advisors…facing the guilt and shame with my inner self that I gave up my ultimate dream for a dream and path that was never mine in the first place…

So when contemplating your path, don’t simply “choose wisely” between the options presented to you at the moment, the current time.

In my experience, your best option:

CREATE YOUR OWN PATH

Be Well This Week.
